Here are two more test file. I may offer videos in two formats like this. A larger file and a smaller one. Not everyone wants to download a huge file everyday so this would offer everyone a choice. I also thought of offering the higher resolution in wmv instead of .mp4. If you prefer that let me know, but the h.264 seems to be better quality at a slightly smaller size. I could also offer the smaller one as a wmv and leave the high one as an mp4.
it’s pretty good…but to be honest, it’s still not really looking like crispy HD quality level.
A few suggestions fwiw:
– go for a smaller screen size – maybe 1080×720 is just too big w/o a massive increase in file size
– aim for a file size of 25-30 mg/minute, and adjust resolution/bit rate to that after making screen size a little smaller. Most really nice looking modern HD files that are not totally ridiculously huge are around 30 mg/min
– not being technically oriented I am not sure exactly what “720p’ means but when C4S stores offer that quality level/size/resolution, it usually ROCKS. Suggest looking into that. That is a good standard to look into.
– high quality and mp4 is a good combination

Thanks for the input Mike…I’m making a smaller screen size at a higher resolution and I will add to the download links and see how it looks. I don’t mind having a large file as long as I also include a smaller size. Also my lighting may not be as good as it could be for this clip. I noticed with using the hd camera a few times that lighting is much more important to get the crystal clear video than it is with sd.
The higher resolution still isn’t working on Mac OS X with latest Quicktime. Lower resolution works just fine. And it looks great.
And never mind. Higher res is working fine now.
